We wholeheartedly cherish the traditions of traditional beer brewing, craftsmanship and working together.

With our unique range of beers, everyday moments become a little more enjoyable for beer lovers, and celebrations a little more fun. Our soft drinks appeal to both young and old alike.

Our brewery was founded in 1991 out of a desire to do things locally in our own way: by hand, with a great team, and to a high standard. When we set up Nokian Panimo, our founding shareholders invested their own money in our shared future. It was with this money, invested from their own pockets, that we acquired the premises and equipment in Nokia.

Today, our brewery has a large number of shareholders, but our way of doing things has remained true to its origins and will continue to do so in the future – we intend to ensure that. We are the second-oldest of the microbreweries currently operating in Finland.

Beer and beer-making are things to enjoy.

We are small and proudly independent. Our size is our strength: we are flexible, quick to act and adaptable, and we don’t come across as stiff or self-important. We all know each other, and everyone’s views are listened to.

We take beer-making seriously, but we’re not stuffy. Every day, you’ll find that twinkle in our eyes that keeps our daily routine just as fun as it needs to be to produce a unique beer.

We are committed to the highest possible quality in everything we do. We are constantly developing our operations and our products. The entire brewery team is involved in product development, led by our brewmaster, Riitta Sulkama.

We currently produce over 3 million litres of beer. Ongoing investments also enables us to increase our production volume. Our market share of domestic beer consumption is approaching one per cent. As well as beer, we produce over one million litres of cider and soft drinks each year.

DOMESTIC AND LOCAL CHARACTER

Keisari beer is brewed using local water, Finnish malt and yeast, and the finest hops. Hops are the only ingredient we have to source from abroad. We keep a close eye on the development of domestic hop varieties, with the aim of one day being able to use locally grown hops as well.

Non-discrimination, equality, wellbeing at work, health and safety, and good leadership are at the heart of our brewery operations.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We are a growing, evolving and profitable company, and we contribute to society’s prosperity through tax revenue and job creation. During the 2021 financial year, the company paid €6,706,326.50 in separate taxes and production levies and employed an average of 35.5 people.
