The City of Nokia has signed a new naming partnership agreement with Nokian Panimo Oy for the VIP area of AGCO Power Arena. The agreement runs until the end of 2032.

The City of Nokia and Nokian Panimo Oy have agreed on the VIP area of AGCO Power Arena as well as other visibility at the arena. The arena’s VIP area will be named Keisari Klubi, after Nokian Panimo’s product family. In addition, Nokian Panimo Oy will supply the cooling equipment for the VIP area and the arena’s points of sale. The agreement covering the VIP area and other arena visibility runs until the end of 2032 and has a total value of approximately EUR 20,000.
It’s great that we found a well-known, growing local operator as naming partner for the arena’s VIP area, says Tiina Laakkonen, the City of Nokia’s Director of Business Development.
According to Laakkonen, having both Nokian Panimo Oy and AGCO Power Oy become naming partners for the arena is an excellent demonstration of the local team spirit in Nokia. The City of Nokia opened registration for the market dialogue on the arena’s name and other visibility in April 2024. A total of six operators advanced to the negotiations held in June. Of these, the arena’s naming partnership agreement was signed with the Nokia-based company AGCO Power Oy, and negotiations on the VIP areas were held with Nokian Panimo Oy.

Visibility at the arena a natural continuation for Nokian Panimo

According to CEO Janne Paavola, Nokian Panimo Oy has in recent years sought to develop its local operations, and Paavola sees the arena collaboration with the City of Nokia as a logical continuation of this.
We have already been involved in local sports activities for several years. The naming partnership for AGCO Power Arena’s VIP area strengthens our goal of being visible as a local operator at local events.
According to Paavola, the arena’s significance for Nokia and local clubs will be considerable.
This is certainly a very important matter for the local clubs. With the new arena, it will be easier for clubs to take major steps forward with their match events. Competition for consumers’ free time is already tight, and it keeps getting tighter. That’s also why the conditions, meaning the kind of hall people go to watch a game in, for instance, matter, Paavola sums up.

AGCO Power Arena

AGCO Power Arena is located next to the shared campus of Nokia upper secondary school and the Tredu vocational institute, on Kankaantaankatu. The arena, spread across three floors, has two separate halls. The main hall, with around 1,900 spectator seats, allows for league-level floorball and basketball matches as well as other large public events. The arena serves as the home venue for both the basketball club BC Nokia and the floorball club Nokian KRP.In everyday use, the main hall can be divided into three separate sections, each the size of a full basketball court. The second hall is a training hall that can be divided into two parts. Besides school sport, the hall serves as a training hall for floorball. The City of Nokia is responsible for operating AGCO Power Arena.AGCO Power Arena’s opening weekend will be celebrated from Friday 4 October to Sunday 6 October. The opening weekend includes, among other things, three televised league matches. On Friday, BC Nokia versus Karhubasket; on Saturday, Nokian KrP versus Indians; and on Sunday, BC Nokia women versus Pyrintö.
