How did you end up at Nokian Panimo?
– In the spring of ’95 (I’ll never forget it), the brewery’s office assistant hadn’t turned up for work and I got a call asking if I knew how to use a computer and if I could come in to cover for her. I’d learnt to use AmiPro and PageMaker at the Jyväskylä College of Vocational Teachers, so computers were certainly nothing new to me. The Täky Tuoretukku system used at the brewery, with its green flashing letters, was completely unfamiliar to me, though I didn’t mention that. The office assistant didn’t come back, so I ended up staying in that role. Little by little, my duties have become more varied, and these days my title is Administrative Manager; I handle the paperwork for the business.
